TRCC vs. Hawley - 9th June 2007

Green won the toss ans elected to bat on what looked a good track on a warm day.

Despite the early loss of Nunn, Twyford powered ahead, Downes at the top of the innings provided stability as first Cochrane struck some fierce boundaries and then Eddy who made a cultured half century. After the 78 that Downes and Eddy put on for the third wicket. The middle order (Fuller Smith and Nichols) all contributed and the score raced along, eventually reaching 265. A worthy stint from Harris for Hawley earned him 4-94.

When it came to Hawley's turn to bat, they just crumbled in the face of the big target that had been set for them. The wickets were shared between Beamish, Nichols and Green, all taking 3 each. The innings was short lived, and Twyford ran out very comfortable winners by 216 runs!!
