TRCC vs. Hawley - 3rd June 2001

Steady bowling from Steve Abraham and lively, although occasionally wayward bowling, from Paul Hackett saw wickets fall at regular intervals. Intelligently rested by the skipper the opening attack made way for some new blood as Neall and Beamish got a chance to bowl with a still hard ball and on a lively pitch. Extras profited but a constant theme of the Hawley innings was reckless arial batting. Eight catches, all held, with none dropped and some of them quite stunning was an abiding memory of an excellent Twyford fielding display.

A good pitch allowed Pete Woodman and Graham Kemp to put on 50 for the third wicket and secure Twyford a comfortable 8 wicket victory.
